Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins Reunite

I was very excited to watch WWE Monday Night Raw this past Monday. The show aired August 14th in Boston Massachusetts, and featured the uniting of two former shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The two use to team together alongside Roman Reigns as the dominant trio named “The Shield”.

The Shield was a dominant force, which debuted November 2012, and separated June 2014, after Seth Rollins betrayed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, and sided with their rivals The Authority.

The ‘fist bump’ reuniting of the two shield members gave me major goosebumps, and reminded me of the handshake that united the ‘Mega Powers’, which was the team of Hulk Hogan and the late Macho Man Randy Savage (November 15, 1952 – May 20, 2011).

The two were bitter enemies, but united on WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event in 1987, and later broke on an episode of “The Main Event” in 1989 while teaming against “The Twin Towers”; the team of the late Ray Washington Traylor aka Big Boss Man (May 2,1963 – September 22, 2004) and George Gray aka Akeem.

I’m very curious to see where the WWE goes with this reuniting of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and how long will it last. Will the two break up just like the Mega Powers did in 1989? Who will be the one that turns heel, if the two go their separate ways?

I guess we will just have to see with time, but I would not expect to see the two form back into the trio with Roman Reins. As for both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose; they will be teaming together against the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus at SummerSlam, August 20th in Brooklyn, New York.
